i know the car was in a fender bender so its had some front end work. if you take a look at the picture you will notice in the circle a "dimple" like indent near the headlight. its like that on both sides so it doesnt look that bad but i dont think its normal.

what might the body shop of done wrong or what would cause the bumper to do that? i have a 99 replica kit on order and would like to avoid the same pitfalls.

The stock front bumper gets dimples over time. Mine has them and alot of owners have them on their cars. I don't know if it's from pressure to the area or if it just warps over time. Good luck with that new front!

 

I have 4 dimples accross the top of my front bumper, almost any FD with any type of mileage has them. I'm not sure what causes it, mabey heat from the rad after the car is parked? I'm not sure how to prevent it. There must be lots of threads about it on here from over the years. When i get my new bumper i'm going to try and pop the hood for a few hours in the garage after every drive, to see if that prolongs it.
