Fresh coat of Montego

Heres some pics I took last night as we painted and cleared the bumpers/side view mirrors/headlight covers/etc. Its amazing how much color shifting a fresh coat of montego blue really does. These pictures were taken literally seconds between each other. The first pic shown is without the flash...and is what the bumper looks like in normal lighting. The second is with the flash on the camera on.

I can't wait to see what the car looks like all put back together and out in the sun. Car should be done in about a week. I'll post some update pics then.

I'd be interested in your home made paint booth set up. Looks like your doing the painting in your garage. Are you painting the whole car there or just the smaller stuff.

Just the smaller stuff, the car is going to an actual booth. The small stuff we are actually doing in what looks like a big shed. But it has a commercial fan in it...so it does a good job of sucking all the "crap" out.

Thumbs up

may i ask how exactly you did this color since you actually seem to be doing the work?
im back to thinking about keeping the color, because it has grown on me a lot over time.

anyway i sem to find differing discriptions of how its done. some people are saying its a 3 stage job and some say 2. i did a google and someone said they got the paint somewhere and did that and added clear??

if you could let me know how you got your color that would be great. and where you got it? i need a respray BAD anyway + a new hood and bumper ive had forever!!

anyway car looks great

i read something about people mixing their own and adding more blue, unfortunatly the pics were old and down! i like that idea myself. mines so old and faded its hella green. you can only see any blue in really bright sun after a wash, or when its kinda dark haha.

but i really need more info on actually getting this color or im gonna have to go white
