Fixing dents in aluminum

Im thinking of buying a T2 hood but its got an edge thats dented. Normally it would be really easy to pound it out and just slap a bit of bondo on it. Im not sure if its ok to pound out a dent in aluminum because of the fact it might crack. Does anyone do body work on aluminum here that wanst to give me a few tips?

Generally you can hammer it smooth using a shrinking hammer and a dolley. What you can not get smooth can be fixed using a standard laquer fill and primer.
