Filling Divots...
Im prepping my car for paint and I have small dents along side the car (dont ask why its dumb) anyways im wondering if I should just use small amounts of bondo filler for these or to try to hammer them out from the inside??? Ive read a few threads where you guys said not to use bondo at all so im wondering what will be my best solution, I want my paint to last as long as possible (im prepping then taking it to a body shop to get painted)

is there anyway u can show the size of these dents....if they are fairly small u should be able to push them out....but if they are deep or very "acute" or sharply pushed in dents u will have to use bondo or cut it out and weld in a replacement.....which will require bondo as well......when it comes to bondo u just dont want to use a lot of it...small amounts wont hurt anything....
hopefully some of this helps and some of the higher up car repair guru's can chip in their 2 cents b/c im just speaking from car modifing aspects.....parker

When you get a dent it stretches the metal. If you go to push it back out from the inside you'll never get it flat again because there's too much metal and there's not a practical way to shrink the metal accurately enough to NOT need some bondo. Just smear it on..
