FEED headlight cover, Is it useful?

Cool Cover Me

Easy guys lets not get mad. The vented headlight covers are meant to work with vented hoods. They just get the hot air moving toward the hood vents and it doesn't take much to get it moving. If you don't have a vented hood it will do nothing for you. I'm sure we all agree that the air under the hood is ridiclulously hot. If you were look for something for the engine air intake the covers will do nothing.

On my FC, I have Rotary Performance's Headlight Lid. When Installed, It didn't appear funtionalable. It wasn't until I cut of the weatherstrip flap, found on the edge of the hood. After that I did notice a nonsignificant gain. Even still, It looks good. I'm sure It has some functin but not alot.

Yeah it's good for delivering cold air from the outside to the inside housing of your headlight.

Seriously though, the intake is all the way inside near the fender and the hood, how the hell is air supposed to get routed near there with a stupid headlight cover??

Its made for COOL FRESH AIR.. Not the nasty air that went threw your HOT intercooler and HOT radiator too. Common sense if you ask me. I have a TOMs scoop for my MR2 and it works GOOD. If you expect to see 10HP like these guys then forget it, but your intake temps will go down...

YEP, thats the only use for it. I saw it on Jason at www.jt-imports.com car and it looks pretty cool to like someone said before.. If your sucking up the nasty HOT air from inside your engine bay, that comes from (lets say your radiator fans) your loseing POWER...

It isn't going to help cool anything down, and IMO it looks totally jakey.

If you mod it then it could actually help. I've seen one that had ducting straight into the intake (sort of a Pettit style intake) and the relays removed so the intake would suck air in from the ducting, this I could see as being useful. Too bad it looks fugly imho.

ya , I was just baout chime in on this. I have seen people make ducting for this, and if done right u could get like polished pipes or something and redirect it to a sealed intake box. The headlight covers look a lot better than the hood scoops.

I cut, and mold the light lid vents, any shape, NACA duct
When the lights are up, not much happens. they look good and function too. I charge $ 10.00 dollors per lid.
About 1 week turnaround, then send back YOUR lid c.o.d. to you. thats unpainted, mind you. how could i ever match your paint colour. interested ??
