I know it's weird. The reason is the FEED combo lights are larger than the 99 spec lights. They are really not what you think they are. I thought they were full enclosed like the 99 spec lights but they are not. They are just 3 lights bolted on a bracket and the bracket will be bolted onto the bupmer. I will take some photos tomorrow to show you how it looks like. I was kind of disappointed when I got them. You can put on the 99 spec lights because you can put something small into a larger space but not something big into a small space. Do I make any sense?

My apologies. I guess I thought wrong. Kinda weird how the 99+ lights fit the Type II-R but the Type II-R's lights won't fit a bumper that uses regular 99+ spec lights though.

The cover is part of the Type II R bumper. So if you buy the Type II R bumper, you will get the covers. But if you just buy the combo lights like I did, you don't get to have the covers.

You do make a little sense. I originally thought the FEED combo lights would be fully enclosed lights too.

So are the dimensions of the openings for the combo lights on each bumper the same size? Or does the FEED 2-R have bigger openings than a bumper that uses normal 99 spec lights? I know you said the lights were bigger on the 2-R so I take it the combo light openings on the 2-R are bigger as well and I'm not sure if you're saying that 99 spec combo lights will fit right in with no modifications or if they'll have to be fiberglassed in but can be made to work?

I think it's like this. For the FEED combo lights, you mount them from the back of the bumper. There are holes on the bumper for the light to go through.

For the 99 spec lights, you put them from the front just like any other bumpers using 99 spec lights.

The covers on the FEED type II R bumper is removable so if you want to put on the 99 spec lights, you will have to take off that smoke covers. If you are using the FEED combo lights, you don't have to remove the covers because you are putting them on from the back of the bumper. Makes more sense now?

photos of type II R combo lights

Now you can see the FEED combo lights are too big to go through the back of the regular bumper.

hmm.. If it's not too much trouble, can you please post pics of this bumper with 99 spec lights? A full view and close up?

The photo shows our type II replica, not the type II R and that's why the FEED combo lights do not go through. For pictures of the type II, please go to the website and there are a few there.

Is there any place to get a Type IIR replica? I need a new front bumper and am set on the Type II replica because of the price BUT If I can find a Type IIR for close to the same price then I would much rather have that.
