FD's with factory alarms

Couple questions:
1) Did all fd's come with alarms?
2) Did fd's with alarms all have power door locks?
3) Why is my fd w/alarm appear to be missing its passenger side lock actuator, Is it visible under the door panel? It has the locking relay because I hear it click when the lock is locked/unlocked.
4) From the outside driver side, why is my lock stiff to the point it could bend a key, and also stiff from the inside.
5) How can I go about fixing the stiff lock and the passenger power lock.

Any advice would be VERY appreciated.

my guess is you need the passenger *EXTERIOR* door handle replaced. Jesse lau sells them for like 80 bucks or you can get a new one for 200 from mazda.

Just take it apart and see if the spring is broke. Try WD-40. Also make sure the crazy door wires are connected to the handle.

You may have a brocken or loose cable that unlocks the pass. door, I have that problem also, sometimes it opens and sometime it just doesn't feel like opening, same thing with locking.
Is not the outside door handle, its inside the panel.

I have taken the passenger side interior panel off before and there is just the normal wire running to the lock. Shouldnt there be an actuator on that side?

Also, the stiff lock has only to do with the driver side. The passenger side is very smooth.

There should be an actuator that remotely locks and unlocks the pass. door when turning the key from drivers side door, every FD is equipt with such lock system, I guess someone has taken it out (previous owner maybe).

About the lock stifness, that should go away with some WD 40, hehehe I brake 1 or 2 key's a year, my locks are both pretty stiff, WD 40 works for a while and they get stiff again, dont ask me why.

The remote locking actuator is inside the drivers door. If you have the manual, it is on page s-11.

no, i dont have the manual but there is a place online I think I can get it. I took off the drivers side panel last night again and noticed that it looks as though there use to be something else attached to the lock/handle unit. It would be great if somebody had a picture of there panel so I could compare.

all you got to do is after you take of the door panel and you gonna have to open the whole thing (split the door in two, lots of work) to be able to get to the actuator which is a lock part inside mechanism.
You'll probobly end up buying the whole lock asembly, meaning actuator, lock and the cables inside pass. door, I think dealer wants something around 200 box, I asked a while ago for myself...

Do you really think that that is the problem if I can hear the relay clicking in the driver side foot panel when I lock/unlock the drivers door? I think it may be the passenger side where the problem is.

If your drivers side door locks good and the inside handle goes down in locking position when turning the key than all I can think of is, it may be the pass. side problem either the actuator or some cable is brocken.

Wherewer you do, you gonna have to go the hard way, I know it sucks but you must trace the problem I'd say from the pass. side door, since the dr. side seems OK.

You said this:

**** From the outside driver side, why is my lock stiff to the point it could bend a key, and also stiff from the inside.********

That points to a problem with the outside door handle.

that was a different question and I think had already been answered with using wd40. I used liquid wrench and its all better. The power locks are still a problem though.

yea WD-40 does wonders. I find myself having to use it about every 6 months.

as for your other problem, sometimes my passenger door doesn't unlock from the drivers side for 3 months, then it all of a suddent works for 2 weeks and then stops again. I guess my car is a tempermental bitch at times. Try talking really sweet to your car, sometimes that helps.

I believe its got to be a problem with one of the relays or actuators because all of the locks and handles work fine now... they just dont operate each other (like power locks should).
Have not taken the passenger door panel off yet though

The drivers door should open the pass. door, the pass door will never open the drivers door, none of the FD's will.
