Does anybody know if the leather seats out of a 3rd gen would fit in a 2nd gen TII just fine? Do they share the same mounting brackets or are they different?

 

Im not sure about the brackets but I have definitly seen it done before.

No they dont fit easily. This has been covered many times. Its is perhaps more efficient/economical to buy a set of aftermarket seats.

 

Ahh ok thanks, yeah i was just curious. I'll probably go with Recaro SRDs or something. I have recaros in my impreza and god are they comfy!

 

ive heard of an experience on this forum where one guy says the drivers side seat fits with the same brackets...but the pass side needed some minor fabbing...but if you can afford aftermarkets then why even consider trying to fab in some other cars seats. especially recarros.

 

It will require alot of fabrication work to mount 3rd gen seats Into your car. You can't simply swap seat rails. The rail mounting locations on the 3rd gen seats are closer together than that of the 2nd gen seats.
