fd rear speakers install question

so a couple of days ago i was putting in some speakers in the back of my FD. whats up with the wires? on the drivers side it was blue and yellow on 1 wire and green and yellow on the other. on the passenger side one was blue and yellow and the other was yellow and blue! how do i know which one to hook up to negative and which one to hook up to positive?

also the speakers in the rear and in the door cause different plastic parts to rattle, especially the door handles. what can i do?

I believe you can tell with a 9 volt battery. I assume you cut the adapter off. If you have enough wire just strip a little off each end and hook up the battery with the adapter connected to the old speakers. If the cone pushes up then that is the correct way, if the cone is pulled down then it is backwards.

Usually the bigger spade is positive and the skinnier one is negative. Even the stock speakers I just replaced follow this convention.
