FD Power Seats

Anyone ever put power seats in their FD? I want an aftermarket seat, but not a racing seat. I was thinking seats from an M3 would be sweet. Shouldn't be hard to run power to them, and the controls are actaully on the seat itself. Only concern is, would they fit? I have never replaced seats in any car. Do they all use a standard length or size rail? How does it work? Only 4 bolts right? If the rails don't match up, do they make adapters?

The FD uses extremely narrow seats. Most racing seats don't fit, let alone those big wide M3 seats....

Also, power seats add quite a bit of weight and are pretty unnecessary in this car IMO.

wow m3 power seats idea sounds great

I always feel a little bored in my car I think power seats would give it that new car feel again
you gotta spice up the interior a little bit its very boring stock

im sure those seats would cost a ton
the stock seats have 5 bolts

4 main ones and then 1 other that is like a brace of sorts I guess....

I want to get racing seats or other seats also, im looking right now let me know what you find.

I figure I can sell my tan ones for a lot since they are PERFECT and thats rare

Boring? No sir, the interior is not boring. It's timeless. I love the look on peoples faces when the see the cockpit style feel that the tranny tunnel creates. It's priceless

Amen GT2. I love my FD's cockpit...EVERYTHING is driver oriented. And as far as the M3 seats...they are very big and i doubt theyd fit, not to mention ur adding weight

If one was knowledgeable enough they could adapt a worm drive system to the stock seats and make them power. It's not worth it IMO unless it was a show car.

So this is what FD owners have been reduced to now?

I am quite dissapointed.
