I've got a question for the masses.... Has anybody been able to change the color of letters and the #'s on the dash panel from orange to say... green or blue??? Any other suggestions? I noticed on the newer FD's that the center console has green lights instead of UGLY orange...

Orange is supposed to be scientifically better than other colors at night. BMW gauges are all orange for a reason as are many aircraft. BMW did some scientific research that orange light at night causes your pupils to dilate less. I don't know the legitimacy of those claims.

 

I have also heard that from a few different sources. I have driven cars with green lights on the dash and my eyes squint like a ****. I kinda like the orange....anyway, it almost looks red.

 

but can anyone change the color to white or blue??????

 

I COULD tell you how to make your indiglo dash if thats what you want, everyone spends too much money buying ones that they dont even have for all cars, but they are so easy to make its not even funny, if your an electrician or have an basics in math. If you want to know how to make them let me know.
