my FD was originally bought for the street but has become more and more race tuned, and much more uncomfortable on the street. in hind sight, i should have bought a STACK dash cluster instead of all the gauges. way too distracting and too many things to keep track of while racing.

the glove box was custom built using a sheet of carbon fiber trimmed to fit the glove box and trimmed to fit the turbo timer and boost controller. it shouldnt take too much to re-create if you get the sheet and have some patience.

as for the RHD carbon fiber cover, im really not too sure. i bought my LHD kit from CorkSport out of Washington. ive seen that question pop up before on the forum, so im sure if you do some research you should find something.

thanks for the compliment. love your set up as well. insanely clean motor.

I wish it all was!I've spent so much time on the engine and exterior that I just ignored the interior and only realised it the other day!But would love to have those little bits in the interior.I got a tripod to take 3x60mm apexi el gauges to sit in my centre dash speaker from frank (flyrx7) so that's a start.I'm gonna look into the carbon piece for the glovebox coz it's just damn neat!Awesome man!!!thanks for the photos!
Anyone else playing??????

To balance the silver and black I'm installing these Bride stradia seats with the graduation fabric shown. Notice the rotor shaped handles? Mazda also offered a titaniun e-brake handle and shift ****, which I need to install. I had some custom mats made with the new RX-8 cursive style font. I also have these Feed carbon scuff plates going in.
I'm thinking of rearranging my greddy turbo timer/boost controller and adding in an Apexi DECS tach to match my EL gauges in the FLYRX7 pod. For the rear hatch I'm building a silver carbon sub enclosure with an acrylic, led illuminated rotor surrounding my Jl audio 10W7 woofer.

I'm planning on placing the new tach over the old one, adds 2 more guages (press/temp). I'll have an Aquamist guage in here somewhere before I'm finished also. New boots made from perforated leather to match the Momo wheel will finish the shift **** and brake handles. Converting from automatic trans if you couldn't tell. On the passenger's interior handle, I'm installing an upgraded polished aluminum one wrapped like the hilt of a samurai sword. Be sure and check out my build thread in the nw section for pics and write ups.

To each his own, but I really don't like CF interiors. It feels a little to 'ricey' to me. Please don't post pics of exotics with CF interiors now. haha Just my opinion.

Nothing special, but I noticed the Greddy Turbo Timer fits perfectly inside the lower air vent
Too damn bright to be on the steering column, and I needed room for my wideband

I have my apexi el gauge mounted in there out of the way aswell.Nice neat fit!My R1 din pocket wouldn't take that and my greddy profec II boost controller so went with that.

The silver carbon fiber was applied to the stock parts with resin and sprayed with a clear coat. There are a few places that offer this service. Many options include- colors, weaves and can be offered wet or dry. Most people don't explore the possibilities. Here's some holographic samples. Matching your exterior paint or blending your contrasting interior colors are viable choices for going this route. My interior being all black, was boring and cheap looking with all the plastic. Hardly deserving of a magnificent machine.

I dont really have anything outrageous, my theme was stockish/street yet a bit trackish but not overdoing it. I dont know if that makes any sense but maybe the pics will show what im talking about. lol Pics dont show it but i have JDM rear seat. Some new seats and a rollbar is soon up next to update the interior. Then maybe a new radio that plays ipod and ill probably be done with it for a long long time.

Akiratdk made me my custom din plate. I just installed my blitz power meter/ toggle switch thingie.

MOST FD interior's will look the same. Same idea with the gauges in the center speaker location, aftermarket CD player, mats, shift ****, pfc, BC, blah blah blah. As long as you keep it clean and simple thats the way to go. You dont want your car looking like a space shuttle

1. What does the covered toggle switch do?
2. What is the red led light for on the center console for?
3. Is that a push starter on the left? side of the dash?

here is mine, re-did the dash pieces in satin black removed the chrome bezels (faded chrome not a good look) kinda like it without it, and re-upholstered the seats.

I remember someone had most if not all of the interior pieces of his FD wrapped in leather with red stitches. Does anyone have a link to those pictures?
