Floor mats (where to find)?

I was just crawling the for sale section and came across some standard floor mate, im not interested in paying $500 for some standard mats but would easily pay $200 for some really good quality aftermarket ones. Anyone know of a good place to get some,,,personal experiences? opinions?

Well why dont you go to a local hardware store or someone that does custom work and try to see if maybe they can somehow duplicate the oem mats?

Several places carry proper fitting floor mats for the FD (here's one):

http://rx7.com/store/rx7/fdinterior_accessories.html

However, they don't have the logo on them which for some reason people have a problem with that part.

^^ are these the same quality and look of the oem ones? If so all you would need to do is get the logo and whatever you wanted sewed on.

I believe these are same ones carried by Mazdatrix. If so, they are not "high quality" and will not last as long as the OEM mats. However, they are cheap so it's not a big deal when they wear out. I've used the ones from Mazdatrix for the past 4 years. The mats seemed to last about 2 years. I had ordered two sets from Mazdatrix as I coudln't decided if I wanted to stay with tan or go with black so I got one set of each.

I was quoted ~$100 shipped for the ones in the 4th post. I haven't gotten around to ordering them yet though.

www.rx7.com sells excellent quality aftermarket mats. The colors and shape are correct but no monogram.

I have a tan set and they've held up great for years, though admittedly they need a good cleaning right now The fit is perfect.

I don't recall it being either. They do not move around though; I've had zero problems with either mat sliding.

Pettit Racing also sells the replacement floor mats but it has their TKT logo on it.

Checked my rx7.com floormats today and I was mistaken earlier. The rx7.com mats do have a spiked rubber backing on them.

OK, mats arrived today and look really good. Nice weight and the material looks like it should wear AT LEAST as well as OEM. Backing is of the spiked variety, and should stay put better than my stock mats ever did with the dried up foam backing. Fit on these is good but not perfect....maybe crowding the dead-pedal a little. But then again so did my OEM mats. Driver's side comes with the anchor hole.
You can order them in whatever color (monogram, carpet and border combinations) you wish. These are in the black berber carpet, gray border and (obviously) red RX-7.
It's a little strange as these people apparently don't have a website. I first communicated with Ann or Jeff at this address: jeff@customfitautoaccessories.com
but ordered at this address: sales@customfitautoaccessories.com. They were ordered and paypal'd on Jan. 24th and arrived UPS ground with a tracking # on Feb. 2nd. As mentioned earlier, there are other options, but I'm happy with the price ($100 shipped) and quality of these.

Has anyone else bought the regular/non-berber version? There was a very nice set on ebay (guess they only have ebay outlet) but the logo was silver. I don't want all that extra TKT writing that Pettit has but I do want a logo.
