Anyone know a good deck that has a red display to match the FD gaugues?

thats my old setup. alpine cda-9855, move on to the alpine d310 and now im on to the iva-w200 + h701

 

FD backlighting is actually amber (orange) and not red. Look into an Audi at night and you'll see what I mean.

Unfortunately most aftermarket source units nowadays only come in blue, green, or white to match most late model cars. You're going to have to look for an older Alpine (CDA-9847, etc.) or Nakamichi (CD-400) model. Try eBay; the former can be had for $100 - $150, the latter, about $300.

 

the 9855 alpine is what I have and you can make it any color you want

 

I'm looking at getting a Pioneer DEH 5800 which has like 10 colors you can change it to. Is that a good deck?

 

nak stuff is awesome, but their high end units are very expensive.
