FD Dash Speaker Size?

I removed the dash speaker and you can tell a difference. It actually does aid with the imaging. Even when I added an old 1979 boombox speaker I had laying around, I could tell a difference.

Would this kill the imaging? I think sound imaging would be better without merging L&R channel together and putting it as center channel.

Once I went to component speakers with real tweeters mounted in a better than stock location I had no reason to keep the center channel. I tried it with and without the center channel and it was better without.

With stock or co-axial speakers in the stock location OTOH I think it sounds better if the center channel is used.
