Carbon Fiber Dash Kit
Anybody have pics and cost estimates. No cheap overlays, i'm looking for the actual thing.
I looked and couldn't find another post about this, unless somebody else can re-direct me to it.
Thanks!!

Well, there are cheap (fake, look alike) CF overlays. And then there are expensive authentic CF overlays. If you want a CF panel that completely replaces the entire panel parts, you'll need to start printing a lot of Bengy's.
Here's a few photos of my interior (authentic CF overlay). The kit comes with complete (driver and pass.) door arm rest panels as well.

All overlays are ugly and cheap looking, no matter how much they cost. The only way to do it right is to remove the interior panels and have real carbon fiber and resin applied to them with a vacuum bag. Do a search for 7racer to see what I mean.

I have the same overlays as arexseven. They were on the car when I bought it. I think it looks decent (I wouldn't go as far as "ugly and cheap looking", but removing and coating as DamonB mentioned looks awesome in the pictures I have seen.

Did you put the DIN cover on backwards? I think yours is alright but it looks crappy having the weave change directions in the middle of the dash. Just my opinion though.
I have to agree with DamonB spend the coin for the real deal.
I personally wouldn't do it cause it makes the inside way to busy.
Plus the CF is actually adding weight to the car. a bad strike against it in my book.ALong with the looks.

www.fibercation.com doesn't resolve. Typo? www.fibernation.com has some interesting stuff. Not for my 7 though.

I think Mark told me he would be restarting doing CF again soon though he is leaning more towards making new parts.

my car doesn't have a DIN cover, was it an option?
also I think I'm missing the "apron" that covers most things under the car, can someone take a pic of under their car for me so I know if I'm missing things?
sorry...a little off topic

I would send him an email....it looks like fikserxseven just got his 99 front lip and door sills done....so it seems like he is doing it on an intermitant basis (his post is on the other forum)
I think you would get a quiker response directly emailing Mark.
You can do this via cnc? Carbon fiber????? I doubt that he has a "pattern". I think he does it all by hand then clears in multiple coats. I'm sure you could find out how to lay CF and have it as a DIY project.
