FD bose head unit problem

i just picked up a 93' touring (pics coming soon) and the speakers and the radio work properly, but when i insert a cd the playback is fuzzy and the sound breaks up. It sounds terrible. Is there a way to fix this or should i just get the DD spirit R headunit i have my eyes on? (i still want the stock look) thanks.

try using a cd cleaner in it and if that doesn't work it may just be on its way out. Mine started doing that then it just spit the cd's out. I got an '01 '02 Mazda Millenia BOSE Headunit and wired it up. It looks great cause it is a stock look and all I had to really do is change it so it glowed amber to match the dash lights. With harnesses and shipping is cost about $150 total to upgrade.

I would go for a Nakamichi instead of the double din units that comes with later model RX7s.
