I rarely ever use high beams, so I won't be missing them. I do plan on installing these xenon driving lights:

and aiming them upwards with a remote on/off switch for my high beams in the future though.
The projector upgrade is a functional modification. Basically, the low beam is as bright and far reaching as it can posssibly be without blinding other drivers. This is a much better alternative to HID kits alone...you lose high beam capability with most HID kits anyways. The main thing is that the beam pattern is exceptional and that it does not blind oncoming drivers. If someone were to post pics of an FC with an aftermarket HID kit, I bet the light would look unfocused when compared the pics shown above.

you could always use the casper h4 shields to get a nice cut off. beam pattern looks good but the pic with the lights on the garage door seem like the lights are not aimed properly. looks like they need to come down a lot. other than that nice job. makes me wish I didn't sell my hid's.

do you have pics of them mounted on the car at nite and daytime?
When I get my FC I will definately post pics. Right now we don't have a car to mount them on.

The lights aren't mounted on an FC. We just placed it on top of the engine bay of a car equipped with HID's so that we could use the ballast to power the headlight.
Using a Caspers shield will not give as sharp a cutoff as an HID projector. Here's a pic of a car with the Casper's shield. The beam-pattern is decent, but it can't match an Audi TT projector. There's light bleeding off the cutoff and there are some hotspots in the beam pattern.
The cutoff with these lights is razor sharp. You can aim them high for more distance lighting without glaring people in front of you.
Another thing is that they have that color changing effect. If you've ever seen an Audi with HID lights, you've seen how the projector changes color. They look purple at certain angles. You can only get that effect with the actual HID projectors, 6000K+ bulbs won't do it. These lights do the same exact thing because they have the same exact projecters an Audi uses.
