Factory automatic door locks

I'm trying to figure out what that little plastic piece that mounts on the back of the key cylinder is. Is that for the door locks or is it for the factory alarm? I'll be installing an aftermarket alarm and want to know if I can just remove them and still be able to control the passanger door lock by installing an acuator on the drivers side.

The drivers side has two tiny white wires and two regular size (18 guage a black and a blue) wires. So a total of four wires. The passanger side just has the two main wires. What are these plastic sensors for? It looks like it detects when the door lock is locked and unlocked, but is it for the factory alarm or for the door locks also?

i'm not sure about the wires you're talking about. but when i had an alarm put in my car they only had to put the actuator on the driver side. it works the passenger door no problem
