Evo-R Sleek Headlight Kit? Alternatives?

Hi guys,

Basically I need to sort out a conversion from stock pop ups to sleeks. My lights aren't doing the job for me at night on some of the dark roads where I live. I don't fancy going HID on the pop ups. In an ideal world with cash available I would go for the re-A lights with the HID conversion, but I simply can't afford these at the moment. I was waiting for someone I know locally to come through with some replicas for under £500 with 8k HID but it doesn't look like its gonna happen!

So I'm now looking at the Evo-R lights, given that it would probably end up around £650 for either the 60mm or 90mm HIDs.

Any suggestions from anyone regarding which of the two (60mm or 90mm) is better, and/or alternative ideas?

I definitely prefer the re-A looks wise, and the replicas that I was waiting on looked good in pics...if I could find an alternative replica source I would be interested depending on quality. I think that's why I'm leaning towards the Evo-Rs because they're branded and I hope that means the quality will be consistent (I don't wanna be worrying about faulty wiring or blown bulbs one week in!).

Any help would be appreciated!

Bally

I would recommend looking at using something like the Sylvania Silverstar lights in your stock housings until you can afford something decent like the Re-A kits. There are a lot of threads around the Evo-R kits, and most of them are not good threads.

Old thread, but the lights are still very good:

This sounds like a good idea, thanks.

Anyone have any idea what the best way to ultimately get hold of the Re-A lights with HID from London? If all else fails I will aim to grab em of Nengun.

Also, i have read shedloads of reviews but from personal experience what would you guys say makes the re-A kit so much better than other sleek light kits like the Evo-Rs?
