That is a little disturbing, bit I still laughed when I saw it. So, I guess i'm disturbed.
For the record, I don't ever want to see clear tails on an RX7, but anyone should have the right to do what they want. That **** just makes our cars look better though.
Really slick trick. It's hysterical that you got so many orders.

Or, was that a joke too?

Heh, trying to create a market for something nobody wants.

Its a shame they have been called "Altezza Lights" because the actual Altezza is a sweet car in japan, even though our IS300 here, comes with more HP then they do. Though its nice to think that if you own one, you bascially own an N/A supra.

Like I said before, people should do what they want. BUT. They never look like they match the car. They may look cool at night, but they just look wrong to me during the day. I just think that they make any car(with maybe the exception of the Altezza) look cheap. I don't think i'm alone on this.
Plus, they're just so easy to pick on. I may not write as harshly as a lot of people on the forum, but that doesn't mean that I don't sit back here and laugh at the slams thrown around. I spit out my drink at the very first clear light post, when someone said "Sell your car now". Priceless.
They just look cheap. RX7's are not cheap (as we all know), and they are one of the best, classy looking sports cars ever made. That alone, makes it off limits for clears. Other cars can get away with them a lot better.

Just don't put those "light bulb" tips on yer exhaust and it's all good I guess. And no head light conversions! And you better not put a GT wing on the roof! Oh and none of those glow in the dark foot pedals, we can't see'em!

just found this pic in a japanese Rx7 magazine i got while i was over there....i actually like these lights...and i am NOT a big fan of 'euro' lights either...

they are like $350 i think though, well $350 for the conversion, or $500 for whole new ones.

i would rather have 99spec though...

If he want's to get those "NASTY" Euro lights, so let him be. It's our job as the A.R.A. --Anti-Rice Authority to let him understand that by doing so he will automatically ban himself from the Rotary community. If his intentions are to divulge with the Import and Domestic ricer crowd, then we bid him a farewell. The gates to Rotaria allow his re-entrance will not. Good luck and may you choose wisely.

On a side point. When I first entered the rotary community, I didn't fully understand what this disaffection with "Ricer" aftermarket parts was all about. It was until months later when I began learning the Rx-7's incredible racing heritage that I began understanding what this car is really about. Then it dawned on me why it is one of the 7 sins to add "Rice" when it is not neccessary.

Well, hey - I just gotta jump back in here.

I think the biggest problem with rice is that it is so blatantly obvious. Really clear cheap lenses with brilliant chrome "plated" plastic looks like ****. It's just so damn obvious that you bought it for $39.95 at Pep Boys (or similar) and bolted it on to look "different".

It's hysterical - and I laugh my *** off every day when I see all the teen poseurs running around with this crap slapped on. They REALLY should spend their hard earned money from their career at McDonalds in other ways like a good haircut, some manners and an Armani suit - they would get laid alot more...

HOWEVER: If done in a subtle manner with a quality satin aluminum based spray paint, I *think* my mod is a reasonable and subtle styling update to a 12 year old design. But what the f**k do I know?

I've lived with my car since 1993 when I first bought it, and I STILL think its stunning. (And so does EVERYONE who points at it with their mouths wide open when I park at the local Dairy Queen)

It ain't rice - it never will be.

So many people are quick to label things "rice" these days. Tacky does not equal rice, rice is when you stick a type r sticker on your integra LS, not when you have a big wing, that's just a matter of taste. No taste is involved when you stick a type r sticker on, you're obviously just trying to trick people into thinking you own a type r.

Man, please. Whats wrong with people? Saying that people have no taste is BS. Clear lights, euro lights, gay lights etc. look horrible on any car and is overplayed. Especially by ricers.

Come on man, ask your self, do you really want to do this?

Clears/euros/altezzas =

I like the front bumper on the Green FD, can't say I like the tail lights, or the Headlights... but the bumper with the round Turn Signals is Quite Unique, That would be the first pic I've seen of those.... Hummm.... probhably too much work to mod a kit though and I don't think anybody Feed Etc.. makes that....

But Hey Everybody to his own, I would like to see a well made altezza kit with chrome reflectors etc... just to see how you'd do that since you'd have to replace the entire tail light assembly including the Third Brake light etc... It would be an engineering feat and I'd applaud that but I can't say I'd want one....
