Engine bay getting painted tomorrow, what do you think?

Engine bay getting painted tomorrow, what do you think?

The car is being painted Jet Black, and I was thinking about only painting the bay a flat black.

What do you think? Flat black or gloss jet black?

Gloss Black definitely. When the motor and everything is in the car, it will look much better I think. Flat black looks like rattle can, and just looks cheesy and cheap to me.

I did mine a couple years ago.

go gloss but all you need to do it either a single stage paint or a clear/base mixture.

Flat black might actually look good if you have some additional flat black pieces on your car that can accent it. Otherwise match the engine paint to the body paint.
