I think they look good, but that's just a picture. You never can tell what you're going to get from eBay. Buy it if you think it's worth it. If you do, tell us how they are.

never take a gamble with seats. its your *** on the line in a crash. you dont want some cheapo seat collapsing or breaking.

I assure you those k2 motor seats will not fit in a FD with out drastic modifications. I remember in a past thread that those 'Mazdaspeed' seats were proven to be fake. Fitment on them I am not too sure of though but by the looks of it, it looks like it will not fit.

Those EBAY "Mazdaspeeds" are FAKE. This has been known for a long time, in fact this is probably at least the 3rd or 4th thread about those seats. Jesus Christ, what the hell kind of product do you think you're getting for $50 a damn seat? Even worse, the "vendor" is outright lying about those seats.

Those K2 motor seats look fricking cheap.

I can't believe any one would cheap out on seats. If you can't afford to get a decent seat, what the hell is wrong with the stock seats? I mean you SIT in these things! They need to be comfortable, durable, and survive crash forces as someone mentioned above.

I would rather put seat covers than buy fake seats that might fit/might not fit, dangerous, and cheap.

i like them. the 'K2' style you see there are similar to the ones i am ordering, just cloth rather than that vinyl or whatever it is, and black/yellow. this is, however for my FB which i am building on a budget. im not sure if i would get em if it was for an FD.

you can always go one step up, spend more like $700 and get some "tenzoR" seats if you like that style, or sparco's...its not like you have to spend more than $1000 for some decent seats (in my opinion)

There's a pretty big fricking difference between buying a $500 seat from an establised quality manufacturer and buying a $50-100 seat off of EBAY.....

Well I know they are fake, just didnt know if anyone else had installed and them and what they're experiences were...
Why would you even care? They are $50 seats. People looking at $50 seats should not own an FD.

The real deal look much much better than that. I can supply them - but you are looking at around $US850 each - not including rails or shipping.

$50! hahahahahahahahaahha

I can only echo the statements above - buying an aftermarket seat from 'ebay' et al, is as smart as using neon flexiglow for a seatbelt ;

Is that the price on the Type-F seats? I just ordered a pair from corksport. How much including shipping to 94122 for a pair? =)

(Type-F, red, no rails needed)

I saw an FC with similar fake Mazdaspeed seats in it and surprisingly, they were pretty nice. The guy said he had them in his car for a couple years and they were holding up well. They looked too wide to fit in an FD and they weren't very comfortable for skinny guys like me. It is up to you whether to try them or not. Personally, I wouldn't want cheezy, fake, uncomfortable, and possibly unsafe seats in my car.

Would you buy an ebay "Mazdaspeed" child safety seat for your newly born infant? If your answer is yes, then the fakes are the perfect seats for you!

I have had friends buy them before granted they bought them for other cars... ie nissan 240sx, eclipse, and civic but ebay seats are not as crappy as everyone thinks. Its been over a year and all of the seats are still working well and are fairly comfortable to be honest. For the money you can't go wrong. $500 on a seat is the most assanine thing I have ever heard. Dont waste that kind of money per seat it just isnt worth it.

hey i agree. as far as i can tell, the most common ebay seat out there seems to be an APC seat, which is a common ricer product...as far as i can tell, they just don't embroider their name on the headrest....

im trying to decide if i want to order these seats for my fb, or if i am going to go with a "cobra" fixed back racing seat for driver's side and keep passenger side stock. this seat is only $260 shipped, and has amazing support if you don't mind the fact it can't be adjusted. persoally i could see myself using it for the street, don't know about anyone else though.

as far as safety goes, come on...i don't think the seat has a whole lot to do when it comes to safety in an accident. i could be wrong, but i don't think its vere relevent.

Yea well 800 dollar seats seem like a complete waste. At that point I would prob just get my original seats redone. Im not saying your stupid I just dont see a reason for it thats all. But if you like the seats and have the money for them then more power to ya
