Dynomat for exhaust noise?

The exhaust is just too loud inside of my 87 N/A. Most the noise seems to be coming from the rear, around the mufflers. I also have a fair amount of dynomat. I was planning to do under the rear carpet and around the storage bins. Will this reduce the overall exhaust noise? Is there a better place?

Spray-on under the car (and in the rear panels) is probably the best place to start, but I have the dynomat in hand.

what exhaust are you running? do you have a header?

my 88 GTU with a Racing Beat header and HKS exhaust was pretty loud as well. I don't think Dynomat will help much. What may help more is an extra muffler somewhere or using a cat if you don't have one.

The exhaust is RB's true-dual with a Road Race header. I love the setup. It isn't overly loud and sound great. The exhaust noise in the car (coupled with everything else) is just too much. It really wears on you after driving on the highway for a while.

I have an N/A S5 with a stock exhaust manifold, no pre-cats, a catco converter and two hks mufflers, its rediculusly loud, but I got used to it, I just upgraded the stereo so I car turn it up louder lol. I have spray on undercoating, does nothing in my opinion.
