Dream paint Job.
I am going to have my FD painted and I was wondering if you guys wanted to help me decide on a color combo.
What would be the dream color scheme for your FD?

i'm going with a gunmetalish base, but what's going over it is the secret. just use ur imagination, a good color combo is easy to come up with if you talk to a good body shop and tell them what you're looking for

Just think of some colors you like(i.e. blue, yellow, silver, etc) , and then goto a paint shop or somehow get ahold of a paint book and look at variations of that color to decide which one(s) you like best.

Are you painting it in several colors? What would the design look like?
If you are doing racing stripes, I can give you some advice

I like silver base color with blue accents or black base with silver accents. If I had to choose one color I like fd's in white and especially yellow. Oh yeah "spraintz" I've seen an fd with that same (or very close to) 2nd gen. color. Too light a blue for my taste and I hate purple.

none of the above....
The two coolest *new* colors are the laser blue or whatever they call it on the Volkswagens (dark saphire with purple hue) and the silver shadow that was found on the BMW e46 M3 prototype... this color is similar to that multi color mustang color that was a $2500 upgrade, except it is only in silver with varying gray notes...

it looked stunning though. for a dark silver, BMW's sterling grey metallic is nice. Its a dark silver thats very shiny and sparkley, looks great. easy to keep clean too.
Personally, I think Fds look best in silver. go to a good body shop and you shyould be able to find a shade of silver you like
