door speakers that will work with bose headunit.

I have 93 touring and the rear bose stuff is gone. The driver door speaker sounds horrible and the passenger speaker does not work at all.

Are there any speakers I can put right in place of the bose without mods?

Pretty sure you will have to go with new old bose speakers or convert yourself away from bose completely

Yeah most likely. Was just looking for a cheap quick fix for the short term.

You want to keep the stock head unit and run aftermarket speakers? That's a new one because it's usually the head unit that goes out 1st.
At the very least, you're gonna need an aftermarket amp to power your new speakers, as the stock Bose ones had the amps IN the speakers. You'll see when you get the door panel off.
You can fit 6.5" speakers in the doors with an adapter than pretty much any audio store either has or can make for you. Be careful and get speakers that aren't too deep because the FD doors don't give you much room to work with.

Thanks for the reply. Don't get me wrong the head unit sucks too... lol. I just wanted to spend money elsewhere first. So wanted a cheaper solution for short term. I guess I will go ahead and start looking into replacing it all.

Somewhat similar question. I have a 93 touring with the bose and my CD player stopped working so I took my radio out and put in a pioneer in dash I get all power but no sound. There's a wire that was in my stock radio that stripped when I was taking it out looks sort of like an RCA cable at the end. Thinking maybe this can be the reason for no sound??? Help please
