Door Speakers???

Ok sorry for the probably easy question. I am upgrading the speaskers in my 87 turbo II. I have been shopping for component setups. I got to thinking that i didnt notice any speakers in the doors of the 7. Is there speakers in the doors? or just the small ones in the dash? If none in the doors how hard is it to put in doors if anyone has done it cleanly? Thanks

Its pretty simple, you just have to be willing to cut into your Door panel. If you are looking at the door panel from the inside, I mounted my speakers in the lower right hand corner. there was an opening in the metal bracing of the door large enough to fit the backside of my speakers.

I am using 6.5 inch component speakers.

Also the wires are already in the door harness which simplifies it even further.

it will look like a speaker in a door. that simple.

If you take your door panel off you will see where it will fit. If you install correctly it will fit nice and snug and the speaker grill snaps on top of it for looks and protection. If you've never seen an aftermarket speaker in a door then sir there is no help for you.

well im sure the reason he wanted pics is probably the same reason I wanted pics. To see if it looks like garbage. I personally like to keep my cars looking clean as possible.
