Door Speaker help in a 91

I've been poking around these forums for a bit, and I remembered something I had completely forgotten: my car has door speakers.

Right now, I have a couple of 4" Kenwoods in the dash, some 6 1/2" K60 Kickers in the back (bleh, I'm planning on replacing them) and a 10" Rockford Fosgate boxed sub in the back. The 6 1/2's and the sub are running through a Kenwood amp, the front speakers are going to the Aiwa head unit. Everything sounds pretty good, although I need to replace the Kickers with a good midrange speaker.

Anyway, the doors DO have speakers in them, it looks like some 6 1/2" cheap Pioneer speakers are in there, but they do not work at all. They didn't work when I first bought the car either. When I got it, it had the factory Tape/amp stereo still in it, with original factory speakers in the front and back. I thought it was odd that it had aftermarket speakers in the doors with everything else stock, but then again the previous owner probably didn't care too much about sound in the car since the antenna mast was broken off.

Anyone have any ideas of why they may not be working and what I can do to fix it? I have also considered just moving the rear 6 1/2's to the door if I can get them working, but I'm not sure how I would run the cabling from my amp into the door.

well to run wires from the car to the door isnt hard. When you open the door you will see a rubber tube. Just feed the wire from the speaker through the tube and into the car. Form there on its pretty straight forward. Either under the carpet under the dash or whatever.

Y arent the speackers working. Could be a number of reasons. and i am not a audio guy really so i dont want to try and guess at it. But if the speakers are in good shape and you re-wire them i dont see why they wouldnt work
