I have an opportunity to get a model 340X (30wx4, I think) a/d/s Power Plate for a pretty good price. Should I consider it?

 

Actually, I was wrong. it's a model 430X, 4x40w

 

They're not to horribly worth a lot, but they are nice little amps. not too clear at high levels, they've got a lot of distortion.....

 

back before A/D/S got sold to Orion, they were great... i had two 850MX's in my FD years back before they got ganked..

 

I remember that the old A/D/S stuff was pretty nice, but i have no idea about any newer stuff,,,i didn't even know they were still around.

 

Well, I got the amp and it's a really nice looking unit. Beautiful, as a matter of fact. All of the connections are recessed and they're on one side. That'll make for a nice, clean install. I don't know what to expect from the actual performance, but for what I paid, I'm sure it will be perfect. Thanks for your input.

 

A/D/S has always made quality stuff. Before or after the buyout. I'm sure you'll like the amp.

 

I think I have the same amp as you mentioned, not sure It was one of those junkyard finds I got a lot of good stuff outta that car a long time ago Its been quite a while and the damn thing still jams my highs... Or at least it used to, havent drove the car since September
