I can remember after watching the fast and the furious wanting an rx-7 with that body kit... damn i loved that kit when i knew nothing about cars

 

I wanted the veilside kit when i was 15; then i saw the fast and furious and decided it was gay.

 

The one on TFAFT is not a really a veilside. It only has the wing of a VS. There is an RE front, non-popup lights and different side skirts.

Huh? I can recall seeing the red veilsided kit with the f&furious graphics on it's side in a veilside advertisement. If i had a scanner i'd show you . . .

 

It was a Veilside kit C2 Model with the RE Sleek headlight kit.

The first Fast and Furious RX-7 was definitely a Veilside CII (with RE Amemiya sleek lights):



I've never really liked Veilside kits. They are gawdy and always seem to add about a foot of overhang to the front end.

 

I never liked the fron bumper since the first time I saw it on the FD, looked like the lights were just hanging from the bottom of the bumper, so it was out and way out since then.

The new one isnt bad, but I saw it in person (not my cup-o-tea) since the mouth is very small, low to the ground, basically looking like an ANT EATER, only it doesnt eat ants, it eats ROCKS.

C-2 i didnt think there was too much difference.

 

Ditto. Never liked the front bumper. I've always loved the side & rear skirts though specially when they have been molded on cars.

 

Yeah, i've been playing with the idea of a veilside sideskirt and re amemiya front end (Daydreaming of course . . . )

 

You gotta admit...when Veilside was all you knew of, it was HOT. Then things changed haha

But yea I like the sideskirts and rear bumper add-ons...my prob w/ it was 2 things tho

1) too aggressive/edgy for the 7's very sleek lines

2) the fact that veilside has like ONE body kit, which they tinker w/ and make for every single different car LOL

Swifty949---its ok, thats the ant/rock eater I was talking about. The picture there from AUTO SALON makes it look pretty good, the farther you get im sure the better, but hey its a big improvement over the past in my tastes.

I admit that I used to like the Veilside kit back in highschool, but everyone on here complained about its uglyness and I eventually started hating it too.

I remember the very first FD that I saw had a Veilside kit on it with Efini emblems. I never knew what that was back then.

 

I think the Carbon Fiber GT wing looks dope!

Guess i didn't notice the agressor front bumper. My friend got me a model of Vin's car for christmas (I have an FC), and it doesn't look like the one in the movie.

i had the kit before i even had the car and after having the car a while i just gave the kit away. its so fugly!

 

yup, ill admit i liked it back in the days when it was on civics. now, i dont know why i ever liked such thing.

 

i always like the C1 but hated and still hate hte C2. one of the nicest fd's i have ever seen is the white C1 knock off one with it glassed to the body and the inside stripped.

dupcaps...off-topic question... but the middle brake light on the FD in your pic (long thin line of brake lights, that sit right on top of the mazda emblem)...is that a stock light? cuz for the life of me I can't remember FDs havin that light...
