Did the chargespeed 50mm rear fenders just go up in price?

I was about to order some rear chargespeed fenders for my FD. A month ago I stared long and hard at them on a few websites, bookmarked them, but for some reason my bookmarks got wiped out.

The price I last saw was 400 for the pair + shipping. Since I dont have my bookmark I have just been searching around and now find them going for 700-1000 dollars for the pair. What the **** just happend? I'm a bit pissed. I'm not sure if i am looking in the right spot or not, did they go up in price or am I just not looking at the right websites?

Re:

I agree man, I was checking them out and they doubled everything. I still need the rear fenders and the side skirts for the widebody kit and they are almost 1500 dollars now. I wonder if the raceonusa rear fender is the same thing.

dammit! I bought a bunch of other things and gave myself enough room to buy the overfenders. Now I dont have enough. Nothing like some stupid **** to set a project aside. Did they stop making the kit or do they feel they were undercharging?

I was talking to friend of mine that owns a custom shop and was telling him about the chargespeed kit and that I would probably get him to put it on if I got it. He said that I might want to think twice about the widebody rears because he doing a widebody evo IX and a new scion widebody and had to cut the quarters on both. My question is, would the quarters have to be cut with these rears?

yes, you need to cut them up to where the inner fender well meet, and possibly even beat the inner fender well up to the cut area, then you weld the two together.
Code:
   | <--fedner that is cut
    \
---- * <--- innner fender well beat up

the * is where you weld.

Stock looks like this

      |
       \
 ---\ |
      \/
i know bad drawings and the code command fucked em up
