Ok !!

Ok people I installed them! Perfect fit, they snap right in place. The bulbs ar at a slightly different angle than the stockers; I haven't seen the light pattern well because it's daylight but a quick check on my garage door shows them aimed higher at the driver side which doesn't surprise me at all.

Wow...they do look a lot better. Can you just aim the driver's side down a bit by adjusting the screws? Also what are you using for bulbs? It would be nice to see the new beam once it gets dark if you get a chance.

I just got mine from ebay the other day and I will post results after I install them. It looks like the group buyers paid a premium for the same thing.

H4 Silverstars, pics are low beam, high beam, and overexposed high beam for fun

I suppose the driver side can be aimed lower to compensate but I don't think it's too bad. I'll have to drive on some really dark streets to check lighting and maybe play with aiming some other time

I can't tell, is the beam pattern that much better than the OEM light housing? Does anyone have a side by side comparison? Yeah, I know, I'm being high-maintenance...

the stockers aren't as bright and the pattern is exactly the same but reversed; the light angles upwards toward the passenger side in low beam, but look the same in high beam

Aha...so these things are the same as the Wise Sport ones. Gotta get one of these then.
Quality will be the same I think.

I'm pleased with mine too. I think it updates the look. I put Silverstar bulbs in them and it's way brighter then the yellow stock lights.

I'm getting the one off Ebay here and putting the Hid kit in there after some time. I'm sure it can't be worse then my MG.

Got mine...then I had my friend in Japan check the Wise Sports headlight on the spot.
I sent him photos of the one I got from ebay...
Exactly the same....all those guys on group buys are screwed...
Well ebay screwed me with $100 plus tax plus $30 shipping. Overcharged on shipping definitely from dynasty auto. LA to San Jose should not cost $30.

I guess I'll need a cigarette after I get mine from the group buy since I'm staying in it anyway.

I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion Reza. I don't particularly appreciate the comment, esp. since it's insinuating that I helped screw everyone over. Some of us just feel more comfortable with paying a bit more for the quality and worksmanship practically guaranteed by larger, more well known companies.

There's the Ebay camp, who loves Ebay strut bars, torque braces, ICs, and manifolds...and there's the Name Brand camp who has no prob spending the extra $$, given they won't have to worry about fitment, performance, longevity, and say, in this case, housings melting. I mean hey, the last time I heard someone say the same thing you said (hey, I got this for half the price from Ebay...all you guys got jibbed!), he posted a few weeks later that his Makita/Pro Car Parts/ie from Ebay 99spec combo lights melted...

~Ramy

PS: FYI, pics can be as informative as they are deceiving. Just b/c something LOOKS the same doesn't mean it is. And comparing housings by the LOOK of them isn't exactly what I'd say qualifies as an in-depth comparison & analysis

Good post Ramy. There's just some things that I wouldn't buy for my FD on ebay.

Well...the description is off...but it's listed properly under Mazda lighting. I suppose you can get them from here if you don't want to deal with eBay.

I wonder a right side angle-up version exists?

FD Newbie, its not opinion, rather fact since I have the product from ebay and send photo to my friend in Japan to check it out.
And this is the first brand new parts I got from ebay. Usually I buy all branded stuff e.g. Greddy, HKS, Apexi,....I don't think Wise is that branded brand anyway...

The one I got is left side angled up. I have put one on left and stock one on right with the same bulb, the beam looks like this now... \ / hahaha
I still have to take picture for comparison. Its not that much brighter. I think my bulb is about to go out, its at least been in the car for 5 years.
I am sure the HID ones would be much better.

I think the angle could be adjusted by having a different lens cap angle. This lens cap is the metal that cover the bulb inside the housing. It is somewhat rotate a little if you look from behind, and it is removable, so I will try it out later when its dark outside and not raining.

But hey, it's cool man. I'm not out to fight. Just careful w/ what you insinuate. No need to step on anyone's toes

Rain in Cali?! Wow...that's the first I've heard of haha

Reza, what do you mean by "exactly" the same? Are you judging based on pictures? or do they have the same part number? Anyone know the part number on the wise sports and the ebay replicas?
