Im working out the logistics of my new gauges and the only thing im unsure of is the white wire of the control unit. The instructions say "white wire - Illumination connects to 12v wire when small lamp is on"

What are they referring to? dimmer?

Pls advise. Thank you.

 

Its an Advanced control unit and the white wire is for the gauge lights. dimming does not work off OEM dimmer control. maybe this will help someone in the future.

i tapped into the positive wire of the ashtray lights.
