CYM Tricoat Paint
For anyone our there who happens to know. Since cym is a tricoat color, how hard is it to apply to the car?? I mean, how much of the mid layer do you add to the base coat? As well, Im guessing that since its a tri-coat, paint touch ups are next to impossible? Cheers

the tri in the tri coat is what gives the CYM its mica effect, its like a translucent pearl paint, applying this evenly is the key, if you put too much in one spot it will appear almost like a dirty area. The yellow is pretty straight forward, once the car is covered in yellow you go with the effect , then you clearcoat.
just be sure to get plenty of paint, it does not cover very well

Tri-coats can be blended for repairs. Just takes more time than basic paints.
Apply base, apply mid in stages till color match. Shops will do a draw-down to match difficult colors like pearl white.
