Thumbs up customized stock front bumper done

This is the initial idea, some pictures I made in photoshop (stock vs custom):

And some more:

I find someone to do this kinda thing according to this pictures and here is the result, unpainted and not mounted:

And some higher resolution pics from different angles:

Tell me guys what do you think. I think it turned out really nice and can't wait to see it on the car...

im impressed, keeps a stockish look and no doubt improves cooling. Very cool. And different which is even better. Just need some side skirts to go with that lowered front look

Same here. I started looking at it and it looked like a huge mouth and closed eyes that was fairly disturbing. But the actual bumper looks well done (And also to a smaller degree than the photo edits show).

It looks good. But why not just get a 99 spec? It has a larger more aggressive front with the "stock" look

Congrats..... that looks pretty nice.
From the photoshop, i thought it would look like the MS gt-c front w/old style blinkers, but the actual bumper looks fairly different. How much did it cost?

Thanx guys for all the compliments!

As few have noted, there might be need for side skirts. I'm having this issue opened for now and not planning any sideskirts in first stage of car rebuild. Anyway, I must see how will it look when the car is finished. If the difference of low front and high sides will be too big and will look weird I will add the sideskirts.

If it looks good, I'll keep it without sideskirts. I like the stock look and it is far more practical for towing - which is a big plus for me. I know some people painted R1/R2 front lip and those don't look bad on pictures, even if front bumper is a bit lower. My bumper isn't any lower than R1/R2 lip, actually few mms higher...

But, it has already been done, but much better....

Hehe, nice photoshop... but I like single ducts for oil coolers more. I like the simple and less ricey/cheesy look. Interestingly, this one doesn't look bad, even tough the front is substantially lower as stock sides without skirts. Probably because of grass, so the sides look lower...

I like '99 a LOT, especially those B.E.A.utiful clear side markers... But it's not perfect tough. It has front license plate holder and without it it looks strangely as smiling on certain colors. Also, '99 comes in 2 pieces, with lip. I really don't like multi-piece bumpers and lips and really love one-piece bumpers. I think that without the lip '99 front isn't any lower. And last but not the least, this costed me $530. New '99 bumper with lights shipped to Europe would cost me at least tree times more and it could get damaged during transport... Nevertheless, '99 would probably my first option if it was available here for same price... But I think my bumper with some clear side marker lights will be quite competitive. Oh, almost forgot to mention - this one is more or less unique...

Funny, I loved the photoshop in the first place (hehe, I probably wouldn't go in this if I wasn't). I think it turned out exactly as on photoshopped images...

I have never seen that car in person, and now looking at the photo again, it does look 'shopped.

Any one in FL seen this thing out?

Thumbs up

Looking good there soru. Once it's mounted and painted let us know.
That silver one you put up Raj, is really nice. It just needs some side skirts. If not 99 spec, I might make that someday. Do you have any more pics of it (silver one)?

I agree. I was looking at the photoshops thinking "god thats ugly..." But the real thing is nearly as large as the photoshop pics look, and it actually looks quite good. And best of all, it's unique. Good work!

Wow, someone had an vision, planned and finished it, and this is all in the same thread and in the first post. How many people have had ideas that shoot on for pages, with little to no results... For that alone I must applaud your effort.

I don't think it needs a lip, but side skirts and maybe a rear diffusor may be in order to comlete the lower ground clearence look that starts with the front end.

Very nice.

Maybe because he didn't wait around asking for others opinions like so many others do. I know I would have shot it down by looking at the photoshops. Definitly a good job on the bumper though.

I dont like the way it looks in the photoshops, maybe it will look better on the car when done.
I do have to commend you on actually going out and having it done. The work on the bumper looks good. GOOD JOB!

The problem is clearance, you're basically extending the bumper to where the Chin Spoiler would be... I'd say, re design it so that the lights sit 2" Higher, and then move everything else up, and then add a chin spoiler... but I must say that's a much better idea than the sharkmouth mod
