Component speakers for FC

I am upgrading the sound system in my FC a little bit. I am looking at some component speakers and wondering what reccomendations people have. I just bought a nice Kenwood HU. and I have a JL12w3. Id like to install with littler modifacations. so I prefer to keep the speaker sizes close to the same. Im gona start with the door speakers first. Thanks

Iit's tough to recommend speakers to someone. There are so many good choices that it's really up to your own personal taste as to what you like. Personally, I love the Focal Polykevlars in my car, but a lot of people may think that Focal's highs are too "bright".

Here are a few bang-for-the-buck brand names that you can't really go wrong with. You can get more expensive, audiophile quality speakers, but it'll cost you. You can also get a set of BOSS or Audiobahn speakers who's specs LOOK as good or better than a set of JLs, but you really do get what you pay for when it comes to audio goodies.

A few good, somewhat inexpensive brands:
JL
DLS
Rainbow
Boston Acoustics
Focal
Diamond
MB Quart

Like I mentioned, IMO, your best bet is to head on down to your local car audio shop and audition some speakers for yourself. Good luck!

Ive always been a fan of JL. My main concern is fitment. I know that most aftermarket speakers and in m FC owners all component sets there is modifying. I just want to get something that requires as little modifying as possible. I deff want a component setup. Just wanted to see which ones fit the best. I thought about some MB Quart,Boston, or JL
