component speakers

i have a 88 rx7 convertible, any suggestiossn on where to put the tweeters from a component system (woofers in door)

I used MB Quart Q series speakers, they were excellent. Q series is over kill though, it was a present from a friend. If I had to do it again I'd get a reference series. They hit the highs really well.

I mounted mine on horizontal portion of the door, front top and closest to the dash, right over the pass through air vent. The distance from there to the ear is about the same as the distance from the woofer location to the ear. Most people think that the tweets are too far from the woofs, though. I wanted to bring the stage up to compete with windnoise better. You could make holes in the door panel above the woofer block.

I have a 1990 convertible. The woofer is located in the front bottom portion of the door.

Coaxials with tilting tweeters is another option.
