Component speaker location in an FC? Anyone with experience?

I'm looking to transplant my system into my new (to me) FC.

1st off, will the front speaker enclosures fit a 6"? I've heard they can be 'modified' to allow bigger then the stock, which is like 4 1/2.

Secondly, i was hoping someone might know of a way to get the tweeters on the tops of the doors, next to where the mirrors are. There is a small open space (above the vents) where you could in theory fit a molded enclosure that would look very smooth.

Your thoughts are much appreciated

Do you have a TII? if it's TII they have electronic mirrors and those pannels pop off allowing a angle mount tweeter there. There are a location for 4 inch woofers under the dash but i think you'r talking about on the doors. It's possible to put 6.5 inch in. Anything is possible in audio, it just depends on the time and money you put into it.

yes, i have a TII with the electronic mirrors, which leaves some room right there to stick the tweeter

anyone know of places online who might sell this stuff? or does it have to be custom made?

you can buy the piece to mount a tweeter..you just have to find it at a stereo place..like best buy, circuit city, soundadvice or maybe even radioshack...but you can find it somewhere..
