Cobra Misano's

Hey, I have a small business that me and a couple of friends are working at (it feels great to be your own boss) and this 19 year old kid (rich by the way) comes in and wants new seats put in his FD along with other extremely stupid stuff which will lead to a blown engine in about 2-4 months, well my friends dont know anything about RX-7's so this one is totally my job which is fine with me but this kid asks me if the Cobra Misano's are more comfortable than the Sparco Milano's and I have no idea. So have any of you tried these seats or sat in one at least. Also this kid wants leather so the milano's and the misano's will cost the same.

I don't think anyone on here has forked out the cash for those seats. Gordon looked at them though:

You'll most likely have to get creative with the mounting.

My friend had the Milanos in his FD and the clearance between the doors and the center console was too tight imo. For that reason alone I would rule the Milanos out. Also, I think the Misanos look more special, especially in the Mustard color with raw carbon backing.

That would depend mostly on the size and shape of the person.

I also email a company about these seats fitting in the FD and they flatly said "NO".

Also there are no seat brackets for the FD for them. You would have to go custom.

With that being said...if you do find them to fit let me know!!! I want those seats

And look!! there is a "R" model with suede inserts insead of all leather

Well the kid just gave me $5,800 to order both sets of seats(two milanos and two misanos) he said he would figure out which ones he liked best and give the other set to the shop... and since im the only one in the shop with an FD and I told the guys that I ordered FD mounts I guess I get them. Personally I kind of want the misanos but i'll take either seat for free. He also said hed been told Sparcos were "nicer" so I just may get some free cobras

That's crazy!!! IS he a teenage millionare? $$$$

Anyways, where did you get the FD mounts ( I assume you mean the seat bracket)? Did you measure the seat? Its going to be a tight if not impossible fit.

Sparco Milano's do fit on an FD -I have 'em on mine!
Use stock sliders after some hacking and need to cut some of the plastic trim behind the doors at floor of B pillars. The shoulders will rub the doors but it's not excessive.

I liked the Milanos better than the Cobras, Momos, and Recaro's. Fit is personal: your friend might not like either or both or one over the other. Good luck!

If you're telling the truth, let us know how each fits. I was looking at the Milanos, but I've never seen the Misanos. I'll have to check those out.

Be sure to keep us posted.

Cobra in Mustard Yellow:

Sparco Milano

I think the Tan Milano would look sweet in a tan interior car. I've seen them in Hulk Hogan's Supra, and they're very nice.

I didnt actually get the mounts I just told the guys I'm working with that I got the mounts so they dont complain about how they should get the seats instead of me. Ill just make custom mounts. Oh and his father is the owner of Some movie studio here and his mother is the main stockholder in like the best stock around so hes pretty loaded, the kid alone has 4 cars, an RX-7, a Supra, a Prowler, and a Hummer H2. His dad actually got a Lotus Elise shipped in from who knows where and thats what I get to work on next. Again tears of joy

Well the seats came in today... at 3 in the morning... and just looking at them it appears that the cobra shoulder bolsters are about 3/4 of an inch wider. Now seeing as i have the stock seats recovered, which part of the seat is the tight fit because everywhere else it looks like the cobras a slimmer
