cd player install problems

Arrow cd player install problems

this is my first install for any cd player so if i can get the answers in terms i could understand.

i have my car rewired from the cd player to the 4 speakers in my car, but the 2 wires that run the cd player. one goes to the always on connection and the other goes to on only when the car is turned on conection. which wires do i connect those two wires to.
which color, and where there located would be very helpful.

To be given advice on which wires top use by colour, you may want to mention what year of car you have (I'll assume it's a 7 ).

Otherwise, get yourself a multimeter or voltage tester light thingy, and start poking wires with the ignition on and off until you find something suitable.

Buy yourself a couple of fuse panel expanders at AutoZone. These things are fuse like blocks that have space for two fuses and a wire sticking out of them. At the base of the block there are the blades just like you find on a stock fuse. Pull a fuse that is marked to power a constantly powered accessory. You place a new fuse in the top slot and the original fuse from the fuse panel then goes in the bottom. Crimp a new length of wire to the wire connector coming from the expander. Press the expander into the space you just pulled the fuse from. You now have a constant +12 that is individually fused. Do the same with a switched +12 and you are now ready to attach the CD player
