Has anyone removed that heavy black rubber backing and foam from the stock carpet and tested a fit afterwards ? Looking for some more ways to remove weight and was curious. The foam looks to be the important issue for a good fit. Black rubber backing for sound.

Does the R-1/2 models have that heavy rubber backing and the grey fiberous soundproofilng under the carpet ? anyone know for sure
