Carbon fiber...

why is it so hard to find a non carbon fiber hood. I dont want carbon fiber, i dont want a black hood. Can anyone point me to where i can find fiber glass? or did everyone just stop making hoods and kits for the FD. Everywhere i have looked they have 1 kit and a carbon fiber hood...??? whats going on?

I've saw carbon fiber parts painted body color before. So long as its a smooth surface and painted correctly you wont be able to see the weave...

many times painted CF will accumalate hairline cracks and spider all over the place...the painting process must be done correctly...its very tidious do to the finish that the CF has...paint has a hard time with adhering with it...even with a couple coats of prime or what not

Shine makes all of their hoods in fiberglass, too. If you want something that they make in fiberglass but they don't currently have any stocked, I'm sure they would make you one. They make all of their pieces locally, I believe.
