carbon fiber.....
carbon fiber.....
quick question for everyone I would really like to know what you all think...
I was looking around different body kit pages, and came across carbon fiber replicas of japanese body kits..
how many of you guys would actually put them on your car..and would you think of it as being too "ricey"?
personally, I would do it if i was short on money and needed something to cover up a fender bender...like i need to do now...but i dont want to sell out..b/c its not normal for me..hahaa
but yea..i was thinking just getting it and then painting over it later when i actually have enough money to do a full body paint job....
any suggestions?

'Ricey' or not, it's ugly imo. Leaving the hood unpainted is bad enough, but more panels along the car would sure top-off the junkyard look. Wait and get it done at once. Course there will be plenty to disagree with me.

I personally think if your going to have carbon fiber on the exterior of the car it should cover the entire car or just stick with accents. Doing pieces of the trim looks good to me. I don't like it when just the hood is carbon and nothing else is. The 3rd gen doesn't have good lines to pull it off. Some paint should be added to the hood to blend it in. Don't stop by just adding the hood in CF. To me it looks like you didnt finish it.
Not worth it...
I've seen a white Honda around my hometown with a carbon fiber hood, cf front fenders, and a cf trunk. I had to look REALLY hard to tell that it was cf. It looked like crap - like someone above stated - looks like you went to the junkyard and did a patch job. Just looks really bad, imo...and totally unneccessary unless you NEED it for less weight on a road course or something.
