Can I take out the Acoustic Wave System?
Hey guys,
I installed a Kenwood KDC-X959 head unit like 2 weeks ago, and I was wondering if I can take out the "Acoustic Sound Wave System (snake)" completely out? If I take it out will I damage or affect anything (sound quality)? ( the wave system is just making too much rattling noise and it sounds broken). Thanks for the help. =)

That will leave you with no rear speakers unless you put some in. It will also remove any bass/mid-bass from the sound system, again unless you have added speakers/subs.
I am going to completely remove all of the Bose components in a couple of months. I need to get all of the new components first, but it seems from the forum that it's not an uncommon thing to do.

I scrapped all that **** a long time ago and went with Sony head and EQ. JLcomponent speakers and subs. And went with Planet Audio on the amp.
I didn't like the head cold effect that the BOSE puts off.
I'm gonna lose the subs and just do rear speakers instead.
Yes you can take out the BOSE wave.
