can I get a door ding fixed?
I have two small dents on my fd. 1 is on the door (looks like some one parked to close and opened up their door and hit my car) 2. Another real small dent on the rear panel above the tire. I just wanted to know if a body shop could fix it. Would I have to get it repainted? Last of all how much should I plan on paying?

No, it's not a kit. A place like "DentBusters" or something will put these little spoons against the inside of the panel and press the dent out. Works pretty well. That reminds me i need to get that done to my FD as well.

There are a number of paintless dent removal places now. They use special tools to press out the dent from the inside without repainting it. It's much cheaper than conventional body work and most people are satisfied with the results. Try checking out:

I had some work done on my roll cage by a guy that used to work for dent wizard. He saw the dent on the side of my truck and asked if I wanted it taken care of. It was a rather large dent probably caused by another car door. He drilled a hole up in the fender well, inserted some metal rods type tools and in about 10 minutes messaged the dent out. You can't tell the dent was ever there. He did mine for free, but said he would have charge 100 or so dollars normally. He also commented how he would have made me wait an hour to make it seem harder than it was. From what he told me an experienced dent wizard could take out just about anything. Their biggest customers where car dealers and auction houses.

I had some PDR done on my car at a SoCal7s event recently, and I am quite impressed with how well it works. My car and a few others had some pretty ugly stuff and they fixed it up pretty well. The tops of my fenders are no longer dinged up, and the spot where I put my *** into the rear quarter trying to break the rear wheels loose at 2AM before a track event is all but gone now.
