I actually like the look of the C-West kit on black FD's and found it appauling on the silver FD (which I own).

Has anyone painted the "carbon fiber" sets to match the exterior color of their car?

I saw a silver "Invicta" in this months issue of car and driver where the sleek light color (not the cover) matched the car..it looked VERY nice.

Anyone tried this?

 

I want to try this but don't want to with my cf covers. I'm planning on making a set of covers out of fg and then painting them. Another thing is that the Cwest lexan lens are tinted which might make it look weird unless you lighten the color to compensate for the tint. Although I do have a set of clear lexan covers coming to me as we speek
