Question C-West Front End on FD with no sideskirts?

Anyone have pics of the C-West front end on an FD without any sideskirts? I'm not a fan of the sideskirts, but would like to get their front end since it'll work great with my FMIC. But I'm afraid it might look a little dumb without the skirts. I'd also keep the stock R1 rear wing too, anyone ever seen a setup like that?

I always thought it'd look a little odd to have the front end much lower then the sides. I don't have a pic of the C-West, but if you look at ErnieT's car with the Mazdaspeed front end, it'll look similar.

That's exactly what I'm worrying about. It does look kinda silly like that. So does anyone have any recomendations on a set of skirts that would compliment the CWest front end, but not be so flashy? I'm not into the wide body look or anything that extends beyond the door jamb.

Why not get some cheap-o but 1/2 decent looking side skirts like those sold by Ebruni ?? ..I think they are like 200 bucks or something.

Yeah that's an option, but price isn't really what I'm worried about it's mainly about the looks. I'm just not a real big fan of aggresive looking kits, even the C-West front end is a little too much for my tastes, but I really need something with a large front opening to take advantage of this IC. Right now almost 2/3's of it is hidden behind the stock bumper and not really getting much airflow. The other route I was thinking of going was to go with the '99 J-Spec stuff since it has a larger opening, but even that is probably too small. Any other mild front ends out there with large openings?

theres a Sanai front end, looks like the C-west, but w/o the little extra squares, and what not. it looks like an enlarged 99 front end. Even if you keep the stock sides, i *think* it doesnt droop down as much as the other kits. I think it has the same clearance as the 99 lower lip, but dont quote me on that.

Im going for the original 99 front end, bc it flows with the stock lines, larger fmic openning, and theres nothing more sexy than a stock appearing FD (unless its wildly modified, then they look badassed as well). Once my project is done, i'll post pix.

Thanks for the ideas! The FEED might work, and that Sanai is kinda cool too. I've never heard of that one before though, any other pictures or online dealers for it?

Wow, thanks for all the pics. Those are all C-West right? Do you have any taken directly rom the side? I want to see how much lower the front is than the rest of the car. The FEED Type 2 might be the other choice, any pics of that? Thanks!

jr, yes those are all c-west and i dont have any DIRECTLY from the side but if you just look at any kit really, mazdaspeeds, ect you can tell how low the will go compared to the stock ss. i have a couple pics of diff kits if you want. and the 7th pic i posted gives u a good idea of the different heights

Thanks for all those pics, AA's and is one https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...&postid=789163 show that there is a huge height difference and it does look a little goofy. I wonder if you could paint the bottom part of the CWest front end black to make it look like a lip? Otherwise the FEED Type 2 might be a little better, any pics of that one with no SS from the side or quartering like the ones above?
