answer me this

How does your front wheel not hit while turning? I've got a burnout front fender and sideskirt. I've tried to fit a 18x9.5" wheel +12 offset with a 245/35/18 tire. I can't turn the wheel more than 10 deg without the tire crashing into the outer rear fender well.

the front and rear fenders have been pulled and gutted, theres nothing for it to hit, also if your on coilovers you can do a camber adjusment-

I just want to make sure we are on the same page here. I've circled my point of impact. My wheels sit a full 12mm in from yours and hit.

what kind of tires are you running?...ive noticed depending on the brand sizes vary, like a 245/35 in a kdw is smaller than a nitto neogen 245/35(smaller in wall height jus fyi)...but wider in width

FDs and other double wishbone cars do not need coilovers for camber adjustment

not picking on you but the "25" is not a measure of mm of sidewall but a ratio of the width. a 275 40 17 has a much taller sidewall than a 215 40 17.

i don't think anyone makes a 245 25 18 either, and if they did it would be a rubber band

nobody likes the kit because it is hidious but if thats what you want then go for it.

All I can say is it will be like a bad 80's hairdo... It seemed to be the thing to do at the time, but the following year you will be asking yourself "what was I thinking"

p.s. I have owned lots of 7's as well as many other rotaries, I currently have a FC and a REPU

I just trimmed the inside of the fender well with a dremel. It's just thin rubber. If you don't trim it, over time the tire will erode it away anyway by rubbing.

Part of the inside of the sideskirt will probably also need to be trimmed, but it's not a big deal and the minor trimming isn't outwardly visible.

I also dremelled off part of the front metal parts of the fender well.

My front wheels are 18x9 ET 20 with 235/40 tires and the car turns lock-to-lock with no rubbing.

hm..

9.5 with a +12 offset is a little extreme for an FD, even with the Burnout fenders..

and he's running +0 offset which is even more extreme. The fender well isn't the problem. I hit the fender in the circled area itself. I'd hate to see people take word without pics that the OP's wheels work and then they also go out and buy wheels with the same dimensions. All I ask for is one single pic. I'm trying not to be pushy about the issue, but this is about the protection of other's investments here. I'll be doing some castor adjustments to see if it helps me this weekend and even throw up some pics.
