bride zeta III sport in an FD

i talked to tee's usa asking which rail to get to mount a zeta III sport in my 94 FD and they told me that the zeta series won't fit in an FD it rubs on part of the door. However i have seen several in build threads that have zetas and all the feedback i have gotten from the threads are that they just bought rails but was never told which ones. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I tried to test fit one with the Bride FG rail and it would hit the door like they say.

Here's a picture of a Buddy Club seat I had mounted on Bride FG rails so you can see the clearance.
The Buddy Club is 545mm wide where as the Zeta III is 590mm

Yup, I tried a test fit too and they would have clouted the doors. Also would have stuck the seat way out to the side. So I had to sell them

could be he just has it hitting the door panel, i had a friend that had some wider sparco seats that wouldnt fit so he just dented in that part of the door panel.

He's on the forum:

Just ask him. Some people pull the cover off the seats and then filed it down so they'll fit. Others just let it hit the door.

My OMP WRC's are 595mm wide at the shoulders. I just let them hit the door panels. They have made their own little dents in the panel, but that doesn't bother me since it's a track car.

The one's in the link are definately rubbing the door trim, You can tell from the mark on the seat. Another option you have is to go with the Exas III's instead, They are narrower across the shoulder and *just* clear the door trim. I run them in my Spirit-R and couldn't be happier with them

If you want some more detailed photo's of the clearance, I am happy to oblige

Cheers
