Bride seat sits too high

I posted this in the 2nd gen forum also, but thought it might get more input in this section

I just got a Bride Zeta 3, and the LH rails. The fitment is awful. Imagine the stock seat, with 5 huge textbooks stacked on top. I dont know what to do.. look for a different rail setup or what? Do Sparco Universal sidemounts work on the stock sliders, i have set of those im trying to sell, but if they work well Ill just keep them. Is there a better rail setup than the LH ?
anyone with bride seats chime in?

Im going to try it with the sparco side mounts so I'll see how that turns out.

Is it a side-mount seat or a bottom-mount?

You're probably going to have to go to a good race fabricator, and get custom rails built on sparco sliders and sidemount brackets.

its a side mount seat, im about to go try universal side mounts on stock sliders, so maybe that will work but im not counting on it at all.
If not, back to the drawing board

Same issue with the Bride Pros I have. Without a helmet my head almost touches the roof (I have a sunroof). Methinks that at Auto-X I'm going to have to slouch a little...

PM sent

i tried bolt the sparco side mounts to the stock rails, but it wasnt the result I was hoping for. They did bolt, but it still sat high. Im still looking into options, I can update this thread if anyone has the problem as me, or would just like to see what I come up with

birde came out with the low max seats for cars like the rx7, they sit a lot lower. you might want to think about selling the zeta and the rails and getting the low max + low max rails.

i might have to agree that the type of seat you buy really needs to be considered. i modify stock sliders to fit the tall, high sitting seats like sparco. the height of the seat cushion makes the seat thicker. the modified sliders that i make actually sit lower in the car to make the seat clear the roof when it leans forward, but the cushion still makes you sit noticably higher than you would in the stock seat. it's the nature of the beast.

is there a thread listing the seats that fit into the fc without these problems...

here, read my add. this is probably the only way to make these large seats fit without mounting them directly to the floor....LOL!!!

i'm 5'6'' on a good day, and the seat fits just fine. . . I take it everyone with height issues is around 6'0'' or higher? I have the Bride Artis for what it's worth.

I found out the hard way
Zeta3 does not fit in a FC
theres a special note in japanese i couldnt read that says that seat exclusively will not fit correctly inside a FC (height wise), not sure about an FD though
I know the Artis should fit correction with an FG rail, or the low-max rails/seat should fit fine also

for those interested :
bolt the universal side mount to the stock sliders DID work, but it tried it with the Zeta so the seat itself did not fit, but the brackets worked just fine. so yeah, might be helpful into to someone I guess

I'd also be interested in the fitment on that status seat, I've only heard the best of comments and reccomendations about those seats.
